MelanieM
Does anyone have suggestions for mapwork that I could tie into our history studies? I'm aware of the SOTW AG maps and History Oddyssey, but I'm wondering what else is out there. TIA!
Colleen in NS
Does anyone have suggestions for mapwork that I could tie into our history studies? EDIT: MapTrek may come out with a Canadian history set of maps, too. Edited June 7, 2010 by Colleen in NS

Hannah
In addition to any detail mapwork, it's been very useful to have dd colour the country that we're studying on an outline world map. This has given her a very good idea of the location of the various countries. I've used Google to get different maps of the areas that we're studying if we need more details (and have stumbled on some very interesting websites in the process). We also look up the locations on Google Earth to see what an area looks like now.

EDIT: MapTrek may come out with a Canadian history set of maps, too. I second MapTrek. Wonderful maps and fits in with many different history programs. Geared for all levels also. Good luck,
Teresa in MO
would you use this with SOTW? for a 7th grader or is the maps in the AG sufficient?
Cynful
I think for a 7th grader, MapTrek would be better.

I think the SOTW AG maps are geared for younger children.
