BMW
I'm wondering if any of you have a recipe for this? I used to have one from a homemaking book "Hearth and Home" I remember pretty much how it goes, but was hopeing someone had it... Thanks, B
Jean in Newcastle
No, but I have one with honey. (I don't know if the honey could just be replaced with molasses). Oat Granola 1 1/2 c. regular rolled oats 1 c. shredded coconut (optional) 1/2 c. nuts of your choice, chopped coarsely 1/2 c. sesame seeds or wheat germ (optional) 1/2 c. shelled sunflower seeds (optional) 1/2 c. honey 1/4 c. cooking oil 1 c. dried fruits (optional) Preheat oven 300 degrees. Stir together oats, coconut, nuts, and seeds. Combine honey and oil and pour into the oat mixture. Spread evenly on a cookie sheet (I use a "Silpat" silicone sheet on there and nothing sticks!). Bake 45 - 50 min. or until light brown. Remove from oven and add dried fruits if wanted. Cool.
Vida Winter
I would just add 1/4 cup to a granola recipe like the one posted already. It is not terribly sweet so I would still use honey and/or brown sugar to sweeten. Granola is a terribly flexible recipe, you can hardly go wrong.
