funschooler5
I'm just wondering if we need to complete Fractions before Decimals, etc, or if we can pick and choose what book to use. Any help would be great, thanks! :001_smile:
Blueridge
We are using them in order, and I think they should be done that way. The concepts all build upon each other, and there is a continuing 'storyline' of Fred as he goes about his adventures, too. My 16dd asked to do his calculus book this fall...so she would know how it all ended. :D If you are seeking a program that can be done 'out of traditional order', you might consider the Key To...series. corbie
I would 2nd that. My dd is just finishing decimals and did fractions first. I don't think she could have done it the other way around.
Julie of KY
It depends on your background. We've done two of the books at my home and I've been tutoring with other of the books. I think some of them can be done out of order if you've had the background elsewhere.
funschooler5
Thanks for the replies! DD started LoF Fractions at the beginning of last year, but it kind of got bumped from our school schedule due to too many other subjects going on. :tongue_smilie: I was trying to decide if I should have her start Decimals instead, but I think I'll just have her work through the Fractions first, along with DS. We are using TT, and I'm planning to do LofF along with it.

Just thought I'd add that there are 2 books beyond Calculus so it doesn't end with Calculus;)
