Night Elf
The 6th grade reading list includes: The Canterbury Tales retold by Geraldine McCaughrean and "Prologue" to The Canterbury Tales translated by Nevill Coghill (2003) I cannot find just a "Prologue", his 2003 translation is the whole thing. So why does the list contain both? Did you read these? Would you suggest one or the other, or both?
robsiew
I don't know your answer to the Prologue question, but my oldest ds is reading the version by McCaughrean right now and we are loving it (he's reading aloud to me)! I would highly recommend this!:D
abbeyej
The idea is that you read only the prologue from Coghill's translation (save the whole thing for later), but gain a familiarity with the tales by reading McCaughrean's retelling.
