LatinTea
My dd really would love to study Ancient Egypt for a whole year! But I want to do some sort of regular history, probably Ancient history. Would it be possible to do Egypt as an elective and still do the other as a regular credit? They could be called: Ancient History or (to stay away from the Ancient word) World History Part 1 Culture of Ancient Egypt My state doesn't have any specific requirements, just 3 years including geography (which we already did this year). Any thoughts on this or other titles for the courses?
LatinTea
Nevermind! I spoke with my dd and she wants to do all of Ancients, including Greece (she loves mythology). So, there you go, I have my answer. We figure out some other electives! :)
elegantlion
What about an elective centered around mythology? Maybe mythology in modern culture or myths around the world?
LatinTea
I think we were posting at nearly the same time. I'm going to stick with my original plan of Ancients which will include quite a bit of mythology. Thanks for reminding me that I can always add to that too. :)
