Book Series - The 39 Clues

Is anyone familiar with this series? Age appropriate for ds (8)? Any good for just some fun fiction?

My dd 9 reads them, loves the, collects the cards, plays the online game. I have read them as well. They are fine - not great literature but fun. Basically and brother and sister find out they are part of a family that over history has been made of up all the powerful/intelligent/historical figures. They travel around the world looking for clues about a secret that has been hidden and that will make the people who find it the most powerful in the world.

My 8 year old dd is now reading them and having fun. She got some of the cards in her Easter basket and she has been enjoying it all. It is strictly pleasure reading.

My ds8 loves these books and we buy each one the day it comes out. He especially likes the cards and websites. Strictly fun reading, though learning some historical figures and geography as a bonus.

I have two boys that love this series. It is a very fun series. They love the online features as well. And collect the cards. Several of their friends have caught the fever as well. So many discussions revolve around the 39 Clues.

My kids and I love the series. We haven't done anything with the cards, but we eagerly read each book as soon as it comes out!

Certainly! Dd 9 loves them. She plays the online game as well. I do suggest making this an "all" and participating in all that is offered in correlation to the story. She has enjoyed the experience. She is on Book 4 at this moment. :)
