Just wondering if anyone has used Connections Academy? What was your experience like? Would you recommend it? What grades did you use it for? We are really on the fence with this option. The demo looks really great. We would be using the public option.

Head lice: can I treat to prevent?

Listerine the oriiginal not the flavored does work. We are in an area where they have become resistant to the otc shampoo. Two hours of listerine and a shower cap and then follow with an hour of vinegar and shower cap. Shampoo and condition as normal. The listerine kills the live bugs and the vinegar loosens the glue to remove the eggs. Make sure to comb well and blow dry hair for awhile. -
How do you "de-grumpify" yourself?

What I am going to suggest is from a Christian pov so I don't want to offend anyone. Take time to find a quiet place to pray and focus on a bible verse. Then take a breath and just focus on the things which are blessings in our lives. Praise God for those things. Listen to some uplifting music. Often when I feel it is because I haven't been starting my day with God. Also those little breath prayers work well.:grouphug: -

Well at one point we were renting a house. The landlord was collecting rent from 19 rental homes. She pocketed the money from all tenants however did not pay the mortgages. Each was foreclosed on. After the foreclosure papers were served she offered to sell the homes to tenants on land contracts. :001_huh: Her home was protected since she had placed it into her parents names only. We got a new place quickly.

We do this all of the time. Works great and doesn't make the house hot during the summer. Scrub, prick several times, wrap in foil and place on low for 6-8 hours.

There are many beautiful parrts of Michigan. For the most part the people are friendly and welcoming. The job prospects stink. And the weather is varies considerable. I love the spring/fall months the most. Some summers are better than others. Winter can be mild or a nightmare. It can arrive in October or much later. Homeschooling in Michigan is great. And there are alot of resources, groups and support for that. I don't think your religion would be a roadblock here.

Thank you for responding I will check those out.

We really like the look of Headspout. However we have three children who would be using it and that makes it far to expensive at this time. Does anyone know of something similar but more affordable?

There is a website called SupportGuidelines which has valuable information for each state and a calculator to run figures.

We always use the Cheerios or Fruit Loops.
