Homeschooling6
I'm using SWR with my oldest son Josh, almost 12yrs. He took off with reading at age 10. Is there any way to find out what grade level his reading is using SWR. I like how we can gauge their spelling with the Diagnostic Spelling Test, but was wondering if there is away to gauge reading. If they can read all the words up to a certain list maybe that would give me an idea :o Thanks!
Aloha2U
I remember that Dinsfamily once recommended Sonlight's Reading Assessment on a thread here, perhaps that will help you. :001_smile:
Another Lynn
Do you have the McCall Crabbs book?

Another Lynn
Yes, I do. I use it for comprehension. Will this gauge reading too? If I remember right (I loaned mine out and don't have it on hand) it gives you a reading grade level? You would want to average 10 or so scores to get a more accurate grade level. Here is the free sign up (ignore the paid one that is for school districts and people used the whole program). Heather

Should I have him use a higher level to figure out his reading? Right now I am using it to check comprehension.
