Pamela H in Texas
get several college level math courses under their belt? The person doesn't need credit, just the math. The person is bright and math capable, just didn't go that far. And how quickly is really possible?
Vida Winter
get several college level math courses under their belt? The person doesn't need credit, just the math. The person is bright and math capable, just didn't go that far. And how quickly is really possible? I'm not sure how quickly it can be done but at least as a supplement lecturer, I'd go to Khan Academy (it's free). http://www.khanacademy.org/ Other than that one could choose any number of math courses (buy student and TM) and work their way through it. Or look on amazon for different self-teaching guides (I ended up buying extra guides for my college math courses to help me understand my college texts better). Pamela H in Texas
thanks...I looked at the rapid learning but wasn't sure. And Thinkwell only goes through Calc II. It looks like he has some information that could be helpful though maybe not everything we'd need :)

Stanley Schmidt just published a new Life of Fred Linear Algebra book, which would be a quick way to get through Linear Alg: http://www.stanleyschmidt.com/FredGauss/32%20pre-algebra.html Jackie Edited March 15, 2010 by Corraleno
Nan in Mass
I can't vouch for the quality, but hippocampus.org is quick. I've used bits of the math from time to time.
