Lucy the Valiant
Or a curriculum-comparison thread? We've never done spelling, but I'd like to - I have 6yo twins who are fluent readers. Things I'd like from a spelling / vocab program / curriculum: - basic introduction / overview of spelling rules without tons of needless lists and repetitive tests - a fun, exploratory-style introduction to new vocab words - (maybe later) a good foundation of roots / prefixes / suffixes Recommendations? ele325
not a spelling curriculum, but my dd7 loves the game Rummy Roots. It is a card game that has multiple levels of difficulty and helps kids (and their mommies) learn greek and latin roots and how to use them in words. She also likes Vocab from the Classical Roots, this is geared toward older kiddos but if done with help and orally could be appropriate for a younger audience good luck Eleanor
