Teresa in MO
my ds is going tomorrow to visit a friend at an army base. The friend has told him that he will need his vehicle registration. Is this your title? I can't imagine riding around with your title in your car? Is this correct? Any military families know what this means? Thanks. BikeBookBread
License/registration for your vehicle (when you buy your license tabs, the paper they give you proving that the tabs are paid and up to date). You will also need proof of vehicle insurance and your driver's license. Finally, if he is visiting his friend's home, make sure he knows his friend's home phone number -- the visitor's center will call the friend to prove he has permission to be on base. EarleneW
Usually your veh registration is what you get with your new tag sticker on it when you renew your tag each year- Your title would not be your registration.
Parrothead
They will make sure the vehicle belongs to the person driving it or know why. There will be a special permit given to drive the vehicle on the base. Make sure you dh has the insurance card, registration from the county of issue, and his driver's license. ThatCyndiGirl
Doesn't he already drive with his proof of registration in the car at all times? Police sometimes ask for it at traffic stops. :001_huh:

KJB
If his friend can meet him at the gate, that would be the easiest on your son. He needs what he would have if stopped by the police for a traffic violation: registration, proof of insurance, and of course his driver's license. They also do random vehicle searches/inspections so tell him not to be insulted or surprised if they search his car.
