Night Elf
My youngest is almost 12 and is in middle school. I get a joy out of seeing posts about kids in the grammar stage. We always had so much fun with those programs. Oh sure, we had our rough times, but overall it was rather nice and I miss it. Don't think I don't still enjoy homeschooling though. I really do. It's just totally different than it was when I first started 9 years ago. I'm really glad I discovered homeschooling and have been able to keep my children home to school. :)
Jean in Newcastle
I have one in elementary and one in middle school. I love the fun stuff of elementary. But I also love how my middle schooler can be independent in his work. What I'm doing now is to encourage him to get his schoolwork done earlier so we can do some of the fun stuff. (My ds12.5 still loves to go to the zoo, to parks etc. though he interacts with stuff on a much higher level, of course.)
