kdeno
I made a chocolate sheet cake for an after funeral dinner at church. What should I frost it with? I could use buttercream but that just doesn't seem right. Thank you
MamaT
What about a chocolate frosting? Here is the recipe for mine: 1 stick butter 2/3 c. cocoa 3 cups powdered sugar 1/3 cup milk 1 tsp vanilla extract Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency. Stir in vanilla. It's very easy. I have a hard time keeping my kids from eating it before it gets on the cake. Ferdie
My mom used to make a chocolate sheet cake similar to PW's. Here is her frosting and a link to the cake recipe: FOR FROSTING: ½ cups Finely Chopped Pecans 1-¾ stick Butter 4 Tablespoons (heaping) Cocoa 6 Tablespoons Milk 1 teaspoon Vanilla 1 pound (minus 1/2 Cup) Powdered Sugar http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/06/the_best_chocol/

KatieJ
Peanut butter frosting would be my pick. Add some some chopped peanuts for a garnish.
Pippen
Cool Whip mixed with hot fudge sauce and toffee bits. Good on angel food too. :D
