love2read
Pampers or Luvs size 1 for a regular (not economy or double) pack?
Sue G in PA
Luvs Jumbo pack sells for about $7.99 at Target...a box of 80 is $17.99 (not on sale). Pampers is a bit more expensive. Usually $8.99 or $9.99 for a Jumbo pack and over $20 for a box of about 80. I buy Luvs...obviously. Even with coupons, Luvs seems to be cheaper per diaper. At Target anyway. SonshineLearner
Ok, so I'm so curious... "why do you want to know?" :-) Course, I can tell you about cloth:-)
Dawn in OH
Ok, so I'm so curious... "why do you want to know?" :-) Course, I can tell you about cloth:-) I would love to hear about cloth. I don't want to hijack the thread, but I've been researching cloth diapers for weeks and it's making my head spin.
SonshineLearner
Hey Dawn, I was just a little kidding:-) Start a thread.... We who love cloth diapers.... really love them!! We'll tell you all you wanna hear... and then some more!! I'll start by telling you... and you can transfer this over to your new thread..... I like Diaper service quality flat folds plus Bummis Super Whisper Wrap (velco, more adjustable) pinned once the baby starts moving around a lot... http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/ http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/covers.htm#Bummisw Mommys Touch One-Size Covers, these look good... although I didn't use them. I know the lady at this store is good with helping. I've got to say that I wouldn't buy many diapers called "all in ones" because I occasionally have to bleach mine... and rinse well. I haven't found any of the suggestions that are offered... to work well. A bit of bleach made it so my children wouldn't start a rash due to the build-up on the diapers.. And, I really like a few wool ones, for night...(helps keep a wet little one...warm and asleep) and they are really a good option for you if you don't want the other ones.... Wool is great... you can by them... make them.... use soft wool... Disana Organic Merino Wool Pull-On (and these look yummy, too!) Anyway, enjoy and I love the cloth so much that I would welcome a pm if you think I can help... Carrie:-)
Dawn in OH
Thanks. I guess I will start a new thread so I can get lots of input. I can't believe that I'm overwhelmed by choosing a cloth diaper. Picking a college wasn't this difficult.
mom2abcd
I bought my nieces packs of newborn diapers for a baby shower. They were about $9 a pack. A friend said she buys the cheapest she can and it costs $100/month for two in diapers. She's going with Bum Geniuses. Cotton Babies stores sell used diapers and even the "well loved" Bum Geniuses for a dollar. Another gal said they work great. http://www.cottonbabies. com It's been ages since we had one in diapers, but even ten years ago, cloth diapers had come a long way. And... I would not get the All in Ones. You can preload your covers so they are like a "2 in 1" and still wash them separately.
