Bonnie in VA
My dh (41) has just been diagnosed (chronic, not acute). It is in one eye only (ironically, the eye on the OTHER side of the face from where he was hit by a softball earlier this year). I've been doing some research on the web, but I would appreciate any wisdom that you may be able to share on this topic. TIA, Bonnie
ThatCyndiGirl
Well, I don't have glaucoma, but I do take Diamox, the same drug that is commonly prescribed for glaucoma. (I take it to treat Intracranial Hypertension, which causes increases pressure within in the eye due to too much spinal fluid) Anyhoo, the drug makes my entire body feel STONED. Like: "Dude, my fingers and like, totally tingling!" If you want any other information about Diamox feel free to ask. I don't know about his particular condition, but I may be able to help if he happens to take the same drug.
Starr
Many many people are treated with for this condition without side effects. You must always use the drops and have regular eye appointments. I'm sure your doctor will give you good info.
