Just Another Jen
I went to visit our home that is vacant and for sale and noticed it was quite cold. I cranked the heat up to 77 (it was 56 inside) and the flames could be seen through the furnace and the fan was on- but it didn't get any warmer. I guess I'll have it looked at- but I was hoping someone could tell us something to check before we call in the hvac guy.

It might take a long time to bring 56* up to 68* Could you feel warm air coming from the vents?
Just Another Jen
I let it run over a hour and it never came up. The air through the vents is cold.

Perry
When did you last change your filter? If it's too dirty, it blocks the air flow. They're supposed to be changed monthly.
alpidarkomama
We are having the same problem. All of our filters are clean. The heater man is coming tomorrow, so I'll let you know what he says. Our house won't heat above 61 and it's been in the mid-20s during the day. Brrrr... space heaters are our friends. PM if I forget to check this thread. :)

Nestof3
I fixed my furnace once -- replaced the flame sensor. I searched by the make and model and the problem I was having. I then bought the part at a local business. I would try this. Also, just a reminder: Make sure you have a CO detector.
