deeinfl
Having used both, I prefer SS. For us, Spelling Power just seemed like an expensive spelling list, but we didn't think that that patterning of the lists were always phonetically constructed. With Sequential Spelling, the patterns are memorized and sort of internalized because of their phonetic construction. We have seen an improvement in reading and spelling, and this is from a mildly dyslexic child. We are using SS along with Megawords and we are loving that as well. Tammyla
SS is designed for dyslexic students and works very well for a number of families. I've used both SS & SP. SS works very well for my non-natural speller, and SP works very well for my younger ds. The SP 10 Step Student Study Sheet is very useful with any spelling words. Paula H has a Spelling Power link with a 10STSS you can print. If you are looking at SP, her web site is very helpful. http://www.redshift.com/~banjo/SPhow.htm
