Blessedfamily
I cannot draw, nor can I teach drawing, so don't laugh. I attached some drawings that my new 1st grader has done by herself using 1-2-3 Draw. She is so proud. :D (Though she rushed the coloring) It's a good book, but short. What else can we non artistic people use for drawing? (baby steps)
ABQmom
We've used the Big Yellow Drawing Book, Ed Emberly's books (I get them at the library.), and our favorite--Mark Kistler's Draw Squad. I can't draw either, so these have been good for us. Edited November 11, 2009 by ABQmom
Kfamily
I think her pictures are adorable!:001_smile:
Dana
I'm using Artistic Pursuits. Last year I kept meaning to get to art and not getting there. Same thing happened at start of this year. Then I got Artistic Pursuits and the supplies (so I didn't have to go hunt them down). We're doing art - and a bit of art history. I'm very pleased with it. And thanks to the people here who were talking about it and motivated me to buy it!
Aurelia
Aww...they're cute! I got Atelier, which has a DVD teacher. :D The best part is Ariel loves it and her art skills have developed quite a bit, even in the ~3 months we've been using it. Blessedfamily
OK, thank you all. :001_smile: I have listed the Mark Kistler book, Atelier, and Artistic Pursuits (we have Ed Emberley Picture Pie). I'm hoping these won't be too difficult be cause I really cannot draw at all. Plus dd is left-handed so it's awkward working with her. Blessedfamily
I just looked over the Artistic Pursuits. How hard are the projects and how much instruction do you get?
