thescrappyhomeschooler
My ds6 has made up two categories into which he classes everything. They are Fizzic and Mahzic. For example, ds6 and I are fizzic, and dh, ds5 and my mom are mahzic. Milk and water are fizzic, while pop, juice and gatorade are mahzic. Certain books are fizzic, others are mahzic. Certain foods are fizzic, others are mahzic. I cannot figure out the logic behind his classifications, but he knows them all and remembers every single one of them. He'll get upset if other people don't remember, too. I just smile and nod.
Pink Fairy
Sounds like how some languages (like French) have male and female nouns, i.e., a toaster is feminine, a bar of soap is masculine. No rhyme or reason, it just is. :001_smile:
lionfamily1999
Physic and magic maybe? For the longest time we thought ds hated dh. He would complain about people fathering him. Turned out, he meant bothered  Make sure you write that down for future reference :) Those are the things great memories are made of :grouphug:
BikeBookBread
That's pretty neat! I love when kids come up with stuff like this. My PDG has come up with her own "language"....and I'm starting to notice that she is repeating the words she has made up and the meaning she has assigned is staying the same, so it isn't random. OrganicAnn
My dd 5.5 will assign her made up words to foreign languages (that she doesn't know). "Mom 'sig' is the french word for pillow." And in french "mes" means "yes" and "foe" means 'no'.
