Sebastian (a lady)
Some helpful advice for college students written with a humorous touch: Dr. Mom's Guide to College. Regards, Kareni Very nice. I could picture classmates (and myself) doing most of the things that she advised against. One that she forgot was Attend Class. I did a series of German courses before I started my master's degree. There were always a couple students who would only come to one class a week and then be surprised that they didn't do well on presentations or homework or papers. Bit attitude difference between students who were having tuition paid my mom and dad and those of us older students who had to write the check outselves. K-FL
One that she forgot was Attend Class. Dd's Spanish prof (@ cc) has an attendance requirement as part of the grade. Most of her profs do as a matter of fact. They are practical (sickness, hwy closure, etc), but they do expect you to contact them the day of class not "whenever." Jane Elliot
Some helpful advice for college students written with a humorous touch: Dr. Mom's Guide to College. Regards, Kareni This is wonderful, Kareni. Thank you for posting it. I sent it to the twins this morning and have already gotten a thank you email from one of them. He found it very helpful. I'll be saving it for the rest of the kids.
