tdeveson
What would you use with a sixth grader who has never taken logic or critical thinking before? He was ps'd up until June. He's just starting 6th grade at home. He's smart and engaged, but has no previous critical thinking or pre-logic skills.
mom31257
My dd hadn't done any before this year. She is doing Orbiting with Logic and Think A Minutes right now. When she finishes, I have a Red Herring book for her and a Mind Bender book. If she does well with all of it, I plan on using The Fallacy Detective, Thinking Toolbox, and Art of Argument in that order. Hopefully all of that will get her ready for an formal logic course in high school.

tdeveson
Are any of these on CD? He's very much into computers.
mom31257
Are any of these on CD? He's very much into computers. The Critical Thinking Company, which sells several of these, has many of their products on CD. I've never used them in that format, but I'm sure there are examples of them on their website. Here it is. http://www.criticalthinking.com/index.jsp I noticed you can do a search designating only software. My Think A Minutes, Mind Benders, and Red Herring Mysteries are all from this company. I don't know if the items I plan on using after this year are available in that format, because they aren't from this company. Good luck finding what works for you!
