Renee in NC
I feel like there is way more than meets the eye to this situation. Something is fishy about all of this. Are they really attempting to be deceptive? Probably not (I don't think he is a deceptive person and I have no reason to think she is), but I am really concerned that the girl's mother doesn't want to talk to cathmom about the trip. THAT is what seems fishy to me! I can't imagine sending my 17yo daughter to someone's house that I have never met in person and NOT calling to discuss the details. Fey
It seems like there is a lot of history between the girl's mother, you, and cathmom. Could there be some other reason that the girl's mother just doesn't want to talk to cathmom from that history?

As far as I know, there is no "history" to speak of other than we all know each other on the internet. I am really not comfortable "Fey" with this conversation anymore, so I am bowing out (really this time!:D)

Hedgehogs4
i would be very uncomfortable with her coming to visit overnight in my home. i would try to arrange a place for her to stay with another young lady so that, well, nevermind.
