JFSinIL
Am looking still for a few more colleges to show ds to add to his list. Anyone have positive or negative things to post about either of these too? We may well visit Beloit since it is just an hour away.
Kareni
Beloit was tied for first place on my daughter's list for much of her senior year. She was invited to attend a scholarship event and came home raving about her experiences there. She did receive a good merit-based scholarship, too. She did not end up attending Beloit as a visit to her other first place school moved that one to the top of the list. Looking back over an old email: She said the food was good, the dorms rooms good sized, and the students were friendly. Tunnels connected some of the buildings and cafeteria. She enjoyed the classes that she sat in on. Those were small and there was lots of instructor attention. (These were Greek and Latin classes.) I believe that she could have been quite happy at Beloit. Regards, Kareni
Moira in MA
No personal experience of Beloit, but this just came over on the HS2College list: Beloit seems to understand homeschoolers and values the independence and initiative they bring to their studies. For those of you looking for a small liberal arts college for your kids for next year, it should be on the list of schools you consider.[/Quote] HTH ~Moira
