Guest erinh
I would really enjoy doing US History with my 10th grade dd and saving WH/20th cent. as a 2 year study in 11th-12th. Am I missing some reason why I should not go ahead and tack this path? History is not on the SAT, correct? Other than the obvious chronology issues in not starting with WH, are there any other issues I am not thinking of? Would love your thoughts. Pam L in Mid Tenn
I think you should do history in any order you want to.
kpupg
History is not on SAT or ACT. Standard sequences vary from state to state and school district to school district. Colleges don't care when it's done; they just want to see it was done. Do it the way you want to. :) Karen
TravelingChris
I agree with the above posts. My dd is doing two years of US HIstory, 1/2 year of geography, 1/2 year of Government, 1/2 of economics and one year of world past ancient, and 1/2 of ancient. My son did a different sequence and I don't know yet what the youngest will do. DO what you want. I find that our children know a lot more about history than the average and even not average brick and mortar school student/
