momto2Cs
I am really torn between SOTW and Famous Men of... this is for a 1st grader and a 3rd grader. We want to study Ancient Greece up through the Vikings this year.
SonshineLearner
I'm kinda doing LLC. We listen to SOTW on cds. :-) Have you figured out your cycles for a few years? You could do SOTW while young and move on to Famous Men.... My daughter is doing FMOR (Famous Men of Rome) in 6th and it works...we have to do the series kinda year round until 7th to kinda catch up. JudoMom
I'd do SOTW while they are young and save the Famous Men for the next cycle.
PollyOR
I use the Famous Men books with older students.
Avila
Famous Men works really well in the logic stage. I think your dc would get a lot more from SOTW at the ages they are. Best wishes!
