Guest jennyb8131
Hi, New to the forum and to home schooling - I've got an "older" 4 year old (September birthday) so we'll be doing a PreK/Kingergarten mix this year. I've decided to go with Handwriting Without Tears but am wondering if it's best to order from their site or from Sonlight or somewhere else. Thanks so much for any advice :)! ~Jenny
Guest jennyb8131
Okay, just in case anyone else is wondering, I'll answer my own question. I went to a Homeschool Curriculum consignment tonight and the owner suggested Rainbow Resources. I looked into it and it was cheaper than both the HWT site and Sonlight. kindermommy
Really? I was going to order the 1st grade workbooks and on RR they were like $9.95 and on the HWOT site they were $6.95....I didn't order yet (procrastinator) so I need to go look again. sbgrace
The things I wanted were cheaper via HWT but you do have to look at shipping. It depends on what you're ordering/how much you're ordering because HWT has high shipping charges compared to RR. I find homeschool classifieds to be a good source of used HWT stuff! Again, you have to look at shipping/an over-all cost.
blessed3x
I also look at homeschoolclassifieds.com. Like this board, they sell used items and some are very reasonable. Hope this helps!
Guest jennyb8131
Thanks! I'll look into that site too. The shipping is pretty reasonable RR, I didn't look at that on HWOT. Thanks for the input :)
