mom2jrcsc
What are your recommendations for a new one? I use it almost daily. I have been thinking I would splurge and get a Zojirushi when this one died, but are there others I should look at too?
Okie
My Zo is15 years old and works only with coaxing. I dread its eventual death. However, I will only ever buy another Zo. So very worth the money.
Sophia
I started out with the Zojirushi and my only regret is I didn't get it sooner. Even my dh, who initially balked at the price now says it was a great investment.

fruitful vine
I can tell you that "Sunbeam" is NOT GOOD!!! I had two of them the first broke in 7 months and the second in three weeks!! My sister also had problems with hers. So I'm looking for a good quality bread maker to buy, too!
My3Boys
I've had a Breadman for 12 years now. I had to replace the pan and paddle one time each. It has a dispenser for add-ins which has been very convenient, although I haven't used it much the past few years. When it goes, though, I will definitely replace it with a Zo. Editing to add: I believe the Zo is considered to be "the best" because of it's powerful motor and double paddles whereas other models only have one paddle. Also the Zojirushi name is known for excellence. I have one of their rice cookers and I absolutely love it. It does much more than just cook rice and everything I have used it for has come out perfectly. Top quality. Okie
.Can you give me reasons why it's better than other top sellers? off the top of my head: quality of workmanship and materials handy features, although my 15yo machine barely just bakes without extra features stronger motor, handles heavy, whole grain doughs easily horizontal pan with double paddles make for good mixing and gluten development
