Chris in CA
Well its official we enrolled my oldest in her freshman year and I'm more nervous than she is. We went the pre-AP route and she will have a surfing coach and surf year round 5 days per week - which she is excited about. I'm a little worried about the classes - I don't want to push her, but I also know that she is a bright girl she's enrolled in Pre-IB English, Pre-IB World History, French, Biology, Algebra 1 and surf class. The Pre-IB are like Pre-AP any advice from those who have gone before? Edited August 6, 2009 by Chris in CA spelling
lynn
It depends on the child. My boys tend to be self motivators when it comes to school work. I don't think they have ever had more than 1 hour of homework ever with AP and pre AP classes.
Chris in CA
That's encouraging, the counselor said around 2 hours - but 1 would be better. I am hoping my dd will be self motivated as well
