ProudGrandma
For a 2nd and third grader with no previous Latin, which of these two curriculums would be the best for starting: Prima latina or Latina Christiana. Kathy
WTMCassandra
I think Prima Latina. And I recall that I did the first half of the book or so orally so they wouldn't have to write so much.
Whereneverever
My vote would be Prima Latina. It's a great into.
C_l_e_0..Q_c
I think you're in a borderline situation. It could really go either way, depending on how 'quick' your kids are with memorization and little bit of grammar. Prima Latina is completely incorporated into Latina Christiana I. They will not be missing a single thing if they skip it. The main difference is that PL has 5 words per lesson, LC1 has 10 (including all the words from PL) I vaguely remember that LC1 will introduce more grammar concepts than PL, but it's been too long since I used it. We've switched to Latin for Children anyway. I much prefer that curriculum.
