michellem
Okay, I know this sounds crazy but when I buy a soda at a fast food place, it will last for hours with ice and soda and still taste good. At home a soda with ice, after 5 minutes taste watery. Am I just crazy???

The straw will draw from the bottom, while the melted water will collect at the top. And the lid might help keep the drink colder than not having a lid. LibraryLover
Fast food places and resturants use syrups to prepare their sodas on site. They may make a stronger brew to offset the tremendous amount of ice that goes into a cup (more ice, less brew) of soda.
