A.J. at J.A.
I would like to start my kiddos on an exercise program and they are both interested in running. I tried to google kids running but didn't really come up with workouts that I could understand how to implement. I have done the first part of Couchto5K and enjoyed its gentle intro to running. I thought that might be a reasonable start for my boys (8yr and 10yr). Any thoughts? Thanks! Angela
Stacy in NJ
Last September, ds10 and ds11 and I began this program. We ran during the entire school year, just taking a break now for summer. We took a little extra time to reach the 9 week goal, but we made it, and in May were running 2-3 mile easily three times per week. We'll do it again in the fall. :D HTH, Stacy

sweetfeet
Yes, our homeschool group has a running club that uses the C25K program. The kids range in age from 6-13 and from what I hear are doing really well. We've been doing it at home. My dd is 7 and has no problems moving through the program. bigdogs29906
Be on the look out for fun runs ~ 5 k walks. They can be a good motivator. Even if you don't finish the first couple times around. My kids like keeping track of their times.
