SquirrellyMama
No, I'm not going through it right now but I'm wondering what I need to start doing now to prepare for it. I'm 34 and have no clue when it will start. I can ask my mom when she started. I know I need to lose weight already. What else can I do to help the transition be smoother. What things should I be researching now so I can make informed decisions. What supplements should I start taking? I'll be going for my annual exam here in the next month and will ask the doctor these things but I don't always feel like they have all the answers. They go with the normal doctor answers and I'd like some alternative answers also. Kelly
Aunty Social
:bigear: Thanks for asking! I'll be following this - I've been wondering too. Only 36, but my mom had a hysterectomy (sp?) before she was even this old so I have no idea what to expect.
LaxMom
I really like Christiane Northrup's books. (The Wisdom of Menopause) She is an OB/GYN, but helped found a holistic women's health center, and sort of walks the line between traditional allopathic medicine and "alternative" approaches, without being terribly dogmatic, if that makes sense.
