Question about raw milk....

I just made some rolls and for some reason they didn't brown. I kept baking and baking them until I realized they were hard as a brick and just weren't going to become golden. I took them out of the oven and I brushed them w/raw milk but now I'm thinking maybe I should refrigerate the rolls. Do you think it's safe to leave them out or should they stay cool now because of the milk?
