Mommy22alyns
Have you done anything? We don't really have relatives in the area, but I'd like to just do something a little special to mark Becca's first year of school and my first year of homeschooling too. Got any ideas? :001_smile:
rowan25
Nothing here, but I thought I'd give you a bump up. Maybe a special dinner at her favorite restaurant? Or special dinner at home?
patchfire
We did a "kindergarten recitation." She sang a few songs, recited a few things she'd memorized, read aloud from a book (we did practice), and we had her math book from that year out, as well as a few art projects. In our case, we did invite family (they live 1 1/2 hours away), but if I do this again with ds, we'll be inviting a couple of family friends and less actual family. So if there's any interested adult, I think even an audience of parents + one is good for a K'er. :) We did buy her a little present - can't remember what it was, mind you! - and we all either went for ice cream or ate an ice cream cake (again, I can't remember). HTH!
