  1. I take B-12 and my levels have always been great. I have no absorption issues. I just had an exam in April, I have no fibroids. I have had IV iron 5 years ago. But again, since taking this regimen, my levels have been fine. I just do not want to overdose on it. I just need to know since I have not had my period since May, should I stop the supplements, or maybe just take the pre-natal with the 30mg of iron which I hear is a safe amount to take per day. Or continue with what I am doing for a while longer.
  2. I have been taking 324mg of Ferrous Gluconate, by prescription for about 5 years now. Plus I take a pre-natal vitamin that has 30mg of iron in it. When I started, I was iron deficient and since taking this regimen my iron has been fine. I would get heavy periods once a month for a few days. But now................... My periods are really wonky. I had a period and two weeks later had another period but it was so light. And now I have not had my period since May 23rd. I am afraid of iron toxicity. So what do you think I should do? I thought my Dr said (a long time ago I cant even remember now) that as long as I had two periods a year, I cannot overdose. I am almost 48 years old. And I don't even want to call my Dr and ask because she will probably send me in for yet ANOTHER blood test, which I really want to avoid. So what says the hive? and thank you!
  3. My daughter teaches acro. Her requirements are for girls..........Hair tied up, footless tights, booty shorts or capris, sports bra with a tank over it. For the boys, shorts that fit properly(nothing where they hang down below their butts), and a tank top. Hope she has a great dancing year!
  4. Thank you!!! I am going to be out wine shopping today. I appreciate all the suggestions!!!!
  5. See, I love , love sweet wines. But I need to cut out some sugar. I hate dry. And love red over white.
  6. Thanks! Price range under $15.00 preferably...heard of cupcake wines but not the other ones listed. I wish we had wine tasting here.
  7. I am looking for a really good red wine, not outrageous in price, that is in between a dry and a sweet wine. Suggestions?
  8. Happy 27th anniversary..............LOL  And thank you!
  9. Praying here :grouphug: :grouphug:
  10. YES!!! LOL........we took a vacation.(2 years ago) But then again, when we were discussing all this yesterday, I really thought *I* was the one who screwed up the years. Oh Mylanta..............He gets it now. Of all things to get confused over. And yea, I better not get a sub-par anniversary present.
  11. I thought all the responses were so funny. I am laughing over here. I know. I said it was a stupid question, LOL............... Maybe we have been married to long to even remember......... So yes, it is 27 years. Today. He gets it. Now. Good thing he didn't have anything inscribed   Thank you all!!!
  12. I really love these boards. Just yesterday I had to post a question, and although I felt it was a stupid one, many people came in to help. This board has been really helpful over the years!!
  13. I think that is where he is confused. The whole 26 anniversaries of our wedding, but we have been married 27. So he thinks that if someone wishes you a Happy Anniversary, it is 26 anniversaries. Therefore, 26 years LOL..... OMG, you guys must think we are nuts.................. THANK YOU for clearing this up. Geesh, at least now I know what to write on the darn card.
  14. Well, my husband still says 26. This is how he figures it. We were married in 1988. Our first year anniversary was in 1989. So HE says you count from 1989 as that was the first year we were married.(He says we were not married a full year the day we were married) 2015-1989= 26 year anniversary. UGH......................
  15. My husband and I got into a discussion about this. I am pretty sure I screwed up as to how many years we have been married. If you were married in June of 1988, how many years would you be married this year? 26 or 27? I saw on my Timehop. that back in 2013 I put I was married 25 years. I think I messed that up. I would count from our one year anniversary, which would be in June of 1989? See, told you it was stupid. :confused1:
  16. So glad those of us who no longer homeschool are not getting kicked out LOL (I still have about 2 years to go and I am done) I have FB and one other site I go to, but I don't like it nearly as much as here. I like to read different opinions/perspectives on subjects. That doesn't happen so much on another board. Again, I know I don't post a lot. But I do come here often and read many threads. Part of my early morning routine. Coffee/FB/WTM!!! :hurray:
  17. Oh good ! That means I don't have to leave . I don't post much, but I read a lot and love the diversity of this board .
  18. Do you still come here to the chat board? Do any of you frequent another site fir just chit chatting or general advice?
  19. I used to have the Diva. But no matter how short I cut the stem, it still bothered me. I just bought the Lunette. I tried it without my period, and seems more comfortable then the Diva Cup. Wondering though, have any of you had a problem with say, sneezing/coughing and having this "push out"? And how do all of you clean yours? I have the cup wipes and the wash. Wipes will come in handy if in a public restroom, but when you are done with your cycle, do you just wash this with hot water and the wash? And do you do that again before using it? If you do not have the specific wash, can you just use something like an unscented feminine wash? I don't have any idea what they mean when they say to buy some kind of specific soap.
  20. I might incorporate the two. I do need variety, because just doing one thing will bore me to tears. I have never done yoga. I didn't even know about that free yoga site. Definitely will be adding that in as well. Thanks!
  21. I can't really walk now. It is very icy, I live on a hill, and it is 30 below. Not to safe. I need to do something I can do for a long time. So I understand what you ladies are saying. I am on LCHF right now. Trying to stick with it. Hasn't been to bad. I really want to look good by April, but I want to make sure I whatever I do I can do for the long haul. Osteo runs in my family so I want to prevent that, and I know belly fat is not good at all. That is where I carry most of my weight. That needs to go. I was always under the impression that yoga was more for mental health(which is fine). And there a MILLION different versions of yoga. I cannot afford to go to any outside classes, and do not feel I should have to when most exercise programs can be found on youtube, or even on DVD. Figuring out moves is usually not an issue. T Tapp though, just seems strange. I want to believe in it. But everything I have been taught in dance, or from past experiences, leads me to believe that some of these exercises(such as KLT, ok nobody ever stands like that), can be very harmful for a person who has back issues.. Old school me, thinks....Cardio with alternating strength training. But at my age, I know there is no way doing an hour of Zumba and picking up weights is going to help me in the long run. Now that I have kitchen down, I need to work on flab, muscle tone, ongoing weight loss/maintain, preventing arthritis and bone loss.
  22. I am 47 yo. I need to lose at least 20 pounds. I am already doing a LCHF diet and have lost some weight. But I really need to add in some exercise. I love Zumba. Problem is, I can't seem to keep up.(not for 30 minutes or longer or as my primary workout) I have been reading that at my age, posture and preserving muscle is very important. But I also want to lose weight and tone up. If that is even possible at my age :) I own BWO+ from T Tapp. I have tried to do the BWO+ but I am not so sure this is what I want. I am going on a tropical vacation in April, and really want to look my best. My problem area is definitely in my stomach. I have been on Be Fit on Youtube, and although those look really good, again I am not so sure I could keep up. AND, looked like it was meant for the younger crowd. Someone had mentioned Callenetics. It seems very close to T Tapp. What is the difference between the two? I know I would need some cardio to go with these, and I could easily throw in 15 to 20 min of Zumba every other day on top of doing core training. So if you like one or the other, why? If you prefer Callanetics, I saw a full length video on Youtube I could do. Or is there another workout you might recommend? I am not a beginner when it comes to moves. I have been a dancer for a very long time, and also familiar with many t tapp moves. What says the hive? Thank you!
  23. I keep hearing about Negril and their beaches. Looks beautiful. I am going to be looking into this. I do understand about the sightseeing issues. We went to the Dominican Republic last year. Although the resort was stunning, and we had a wonderful time, the drive in from the airport was..............well..............scary. Men holding rifles, 5 people on scooters, our driver was flying through the downtown area, and it was very, very poor. Makes you feel very rich when being in a country like that and you realize how lucky Americans have it. Thank you for all the suggestions.!
