I. Hate. Snakes. We killed a rattler today. On December freaking twenty second and there's a rattler under the house. The kitten was the first to find it. She has a cut behind her ear now, which we don't think is a bite. No swelling, no other symptoms. She just seems tired and in pain. We called the vet and he gave us a list of signs to watch for, which we already knew. I don't really like or trust this vet, but he was the only one we could get a hold of. I forgot the cool whip for the trifle. Dh has gone fishing and will bring cool whip when he returns. Christmas really snuck up on me this year. I went to the AFSA and got all the final purchases. MIL is Christmas shopping today. I know because she keeps calling me. "What size shoes do the boys wear?" I'm going to coffee some more and make a tackle list for today. Switch the laundry. Take the boys to pick out a gift for DH. Buy baker's twine and a Santa gift for DH without the boys noticing. Buy a trifle bowl and baby candy canes. Get the mail. Return overdue library books. Wrap the remaining gifts. Fold all the laundry. Give the pets their flea meds. Feed the people. ETA: Make handprint gifts for grandparents. I think that's all. Maybe.

I went to the grocery store today. Every time I go to the grocery, I wish I lived somewhere with curbside pickup. The nearest store with curbside is 45 minutes away, which kind of negates the point of ordering for pickup. But... if we start doing robotics next month, I could maybe pick up after class without a problem... I think that might work. I just want to do more fun stuff and fewer chores.
