I don't have Amazon Prime and it shows that same price for me ($3.92).

For fall activities (swimming and dance) for my oldest it comes out to $100.50 per month, but I voted in the next category up because there are also yearly registration fees that we have to pay to the dance studio and the sports center.

our favorite snack at HS is a cupcake or other dessert from Starring Rolls
our favorite QS meals at Epcot are at Sunshine Seasons or Tangierine Cafe
our favorite snacks at Epcot are baked goods from Boulangerie Patisserie(France) or Kringla Bakeri (Norway) or Food and Wine Festival goodies if you happen to be there at that time of year
Our favorite snack at the Animal Kingdom is the Jalapeno Cheese Stuffed Pretzel
I've been thinking about this a lot lately since we are headed to Disney in October!! :)

We are currently using Signing Time once a month. Once a month, I check out the next DVD from the library and we watch it twice during the week, usually once on the weekend as a family and once during the week with just the girls and I.
Starting in August I'm planning to check out a new DVD every week (if they are available, sometimes I'm on the waiting list for a week or two) and watch the same way (twice during the week).

DD4 will be 5 at the end of October. Since she misses the cut-off for K by 4 weeks, this coming year will be her Pre-K year. Our plans are mostly in my sig, but I'm thinking of making the following changes:
replace Mudpies to Magnets with ES Intro to Science (once a week)
replace Building Thinking Skills with Mind Benders (once a week)
add in MEP Reception math
add in Bible Study Guide for All Ages
add in Meet the Masters (once a week)
gymnastics will be over for the summer and ballet will start

Our favorite moderate resort is Port Orleans French Quarter. It is the smallest of the moderates, which means no long walks to the pool, food court, or bus stop.
We've stayed there three times and will be there again at the end of October!

Our favorites:
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons, La Cantina de San Angel
Magic Kingdom: Columbia Harbour House, Pecos Bill's
Hollywood Studios: nothing here is really our "favorite," but we usually go to Backlot Express or Pizza Planet
Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ, Yak & Yeti
Downtown Disney: Earl of Sandwich

I also looked at Right Start aor Saxon k. Saxon k seems like it will take an hour each lesson which is a big No for me at this age. Am I wrong? Please tell me!
We are using Saxon K and so far (we are around lesson 30) no lesson has taken more than 15 minutes. I'd guess most average about 10 minutes or so.

We have this one:
http://www.orientaltrading.com/classroom-calendar-pocket-chart-a2-62_2017.fltr
It has held up and works well as a basic calendar. I wish it had the year on it, but other than that we really like it.

I'll be 54 when my youngest finishes 8th grade (current plan is to send them to private high school). If we decide to homeschool through high school, I'll be 58.

Both my DDs were adopted from China. We brought DD4 home in 2008 at 12 months old and we brought DD2 home this past October at 23 months old. The wait for non-special needs adoptions from China has grown to over 5 years. We waited almost 3 years for DD4. DD2 is considered special needs (she was born with cleft lip and palate), so her adoption took only about a year. I would not recommend non-special needs adoption from China at this time, as the wait is only getting longer, but if you are open to special needs (and there are a wide range of things China considers "special needs"), I would recommend considering China as an option.

I had to return A Game of Thrones (Kindle book from the library) before I was able to finish it last week, so I put myself back on the wait list for it.
I checked out Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher and finished it last week. I also checked out The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin and began reading it.

Currently reading: The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin (Kindle-library)

I'm currently reading A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin on my Kindle (checked out from the library).

I have a stocking and it is filled by DH, my mom (she is here Christmas morning) and myself. I usually buy myself a nice candy bar (this year was a Ritter Sport Dark Chocolate Marzipan bar) and a new toothbrush and then DH and mom add extras (lip balm, candle, M&Ms, etc.) One year DH forgot and made a trip to the gas station Christmas Eve. That year I had beef jerky and candy in my stocking.
-
Always in bed before falling asleep. Sometimes during car trips if DH is driving. In the bathtub. While the girls are playing I can sometimes fit in a page or two.

I'm going to try again. This past year I stopped keeping track around book #29. I know I didn't make it to 52, but I will give it a shot again this year.

I just joined Pinterest a few days ago so my boards are pretty new. I have my boards for recipes pretty full and have just started a few homeschooling boards.
