I buy OliveNation vanilla beans on Amazon.

I'm planning on it. We are headed to Disney on Saturday and I plan to count our two Animal Kingdom days and our two Epcot days as field trip days.

It is first mentioned in Lesson 17 (p. 97 in my teacher's manual). Essentially the child is to choose a tree and write about/draw a picture of their observations of the tree in each season.

We haven't started K yet (plan to start next week), but today DD5 listened to a chapter from our read-aloud (plus a few picture books I read to DD3), did some memory work, and reviewed a lesson from OPGTR.

I saved the list, but only Volume 1. I went looking for Vol 2 movie list, and found it, but the server won't open it. I tracked it back to the person who wrote it here on the boards, but she has not been active for over a 1 1/2 years.
Does anyone have this, or any good list for movies for SOTW Vol 2?
I don't have the movie list you are looking for, but I have been kicking myself for not saving the volume 1 list. If I PM you with my e-mail address, would you be willing to e-mail the volume 1 list to me?

Our HWT K book covers both upper and lowercase. The Pre-K book covers only uppercase.

Lots of great suggestions so far. Here are a few more: Sense and Sensibility, Little Women, Indiana Jones movies, and Groundhog Day.

Congratulations! This is for a SN adoption, right? Has your agency given you an estimated time until you're matched? When we were waiting for our youngest (both our daughters are from China, youngest is SN), our agency told us about 12-18 months to be matched and we were surprised to be matched in only six months! Hopefully your match comes even sooner!

We have two blogs, one for each daughter. Neither of them are "live," as we just used them to keep friends and relatives updated on our trips. They are probably not the "best" blogs, but you may be interested in reading them just to see what our China experiences were like. Our oldest daughter was adopted in 2008 and her blog is much more extensive. My husband did all of the writing and the photos are not that great:

Our youngest was adopted in 2011 and her blog is very brief. We were dealing with sibling rivalry issues (my oldest traveled with us) and we just didn't have time to do much blogging:

DD3 has an alphabet placemat and DD5 has a map of the U.S. She enjoys showing off her knowledge of U.S. geography by saying things like: "Mama, did you know there is an island of dried cranberries off the coast of Florida?"

My DD3 will turn 4 in November and I plan to start her this fall with the R&S About Three workbook, Kumon workbooks, and Building Thinking Skills Beginning. She will also start joining in with DD5 during bible study and nature study.

Congratulations and happy Family Day! Reminds me of our special days in China.

My 3 and 5 year old both get about 11 hours of sleep every night (usually 8:30pm-7:30am). The 3 year old sometimes takes a 1-2 hour nap in the afternoon.

Fruit, pretzels, baby carrots, string cheese, graham crackers, Nutrigrain bars, granola bars, yogurt, muffins, and cheese and crackers are our standbys. Sometimes I'll bake a treat for a snack. For example, today I made homemade chocolate chip granola bars.
