Last week I finished up Little Clearing in the Woods by Maria D. Wilkes (book #2) and started reading The Children of Henry VIII by Alison Weir (book #3).

Peanut butter cookies.

NO Miracle Whip and NO olives :ack2:
Most other things are welcome in my chicken salad, especially grapes and curry powder. I don't think I've made the same exact chicken salad recipe more than once. I like to change it up each time.

I've been considering For the Children's Sake. Is it worth reading?
It is worth it if you are interested in a very brief (161 pages) summary of Charlotte Mason's teachings. I have already read A Charlotte Mason Companion by Karen Andreola, so I didn't find much new information.

I have a "sometimes" stash in my bedside table drawer. The problem is, I sometimes forget it's there. Once I splurged on some homemade peanut butter cups from a candy shop, ate one, and forgot about the rest for several months. When I found them, they were stale and icky. :ack2:
I'm glad I saw this thread, because it reminded me that I had one Anastasia's Confections Coconut Patty left in there, and I am eating it now. :)

We had sweet potato waffles and fruit.

I remember the day when my brother was brought home from the hospital. I had just turned three. I was staying with my aunt down the road and she gave me bean soup for lunch. My younger cousin was sitting in her highchair and put a Weeble in her soup. Then we went to my house and I saw my brother for the first time. I remember talking about how tiny his fingers and toes were. My mother also claims that I tried to push him off her lap (though I have no memory of this).

We are Catholic and our daughter stays with us during mass.

My first two books will be For the Children's Sake by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay and Little Clearing in the Woods by Maria D. Wilkes (reading this series because the Little House series is a childhood favorite).

I received A Year in a Vegetarian Kitchen by Jack Bishop for Christmas. I haven't read it all yet, but it looks like it may be the type of thing you're looking for.

2011 will be my third year using Motivated Moms. I used to use the full page daily calendar but found there was a lot of empty white space because I use Google calendar to keep track of appointments, etc. So for 2011 I am using the full page weekly calendar (a lot less wasted paper for me!)

I'm a longtime lurker. My daughter is only 3, so we haven't started homeschooling yet, so I've just been on the boards doing research for the future. I would love to join this challenge. I've tried to do something similar on my own for the past few years, but having somewhere to be accountable might make it easier.

I'm still on book #3, The Children of Henry VIII by Alison Weir. I'm hoping to finish it this week, though I'm not yet halfway through.
