  1. Hi! I like: The Sleeping Beauty by Paris Opera Ballet (2006) Swan Lake by American Ballet Theatre (2005) The Nutcracker by Royal Opera (2010) You could check to see if your local library has a copy. Ours does. Although we like watching ballet DVDs, as well as live performances, it could be very boring for younger kids. Maybe it's better to check some highlights of each ballet on YouTube instead of watching the whole show. There are some coloring pages and other activities that you could download for young kids when you Google "Nutcracker activities for kids" and such. Also, there should be a production or two of The Nutcracker by your local (or nearby cities) ballet studios/schools around December. It's fun to go to ballet, especially The Nutcracker. Often times, they have Meet and Greet before or after the show and younger kids enjoy getting a closer look at the performers.
  2. Hi! My son (13yo) liked: Keeper of the Lost Cities series Ranger's Apprentice series Michael Vey series Vampirates series Insignia series (by S.J. Kincaid) The Missing series (by Haddix) Hope that helps :001_smile:
  3. Hi! My DS enjoyed Snap Circuts when he was around 7 years old. If you can, get the biggest kits and an AC adapter. He also liked Knex Roller Coaster set. Although my DS wasn't very fond of paper folding, Origami might be a good building activity. There are many YouTube tutorial videos for just about any animals, flowers, and other interesting shapes.
  4. Hi! My DD is competing at the county level this week. Besides studying from the word list, check to see if there are specific rules for the competition. Ours includes 20 seconds to write down each word, not holding the pencil until the word is read, and such.
