  1. Enough supplies so DD can have her own. -Crayons -Markers -Colored Pencils -Watercolors -Pencils -Scissors -Lots of glue sticks -Construction Paper -Bins for organizing
  2. I love everything from SmartGames. Great for logic! http://www.smartgames.eu/en/smartgames ThinkFun also designs a lot of puzzle and logic games. http://www.thinkfun.com/shop
  3. You may also enjoy Timberdoodle's baby curriculum. I don't use their entire curriculum but it's the first place I look for fun gift ideas. http://www.timberdoodle.com/Complete_Homeschool_Curriculum_Baby_p/999-babycore.htm
  4. If you do end up teaching him to write with his left hand "mirror" him when teaching. So instead of sitting next to him sit across from him to demonstrate. It works for any skill you want to teach an opposite handed person. The advice was given to me by a lefty mom who taught her right handed kids. :) Made sense once I heard it, but I hadn't thought of it before.
  5. I'd love to learn more about child development, but I guess I do that every day for free. ;)
  6. If you're interested in adding an "open and go" Art curriculum to the Math and Reading you already use consider Artistic Pursuits (http://artisticpursuits.com/). The book is non-consumable but the art packs need to be purchased for each child. We use the PreK text and love that it introduces kids to the Masters. I purchased my book used and found the supplies inexpensively at local stores. And/Or maybe just add the Science resources from Timberdoodle. "My First Super Science Kit Deluxe" or "Big Bag of Experiments" are nearly complete sets. My brother uses Timberdoodle PreK and my niece loves the experiments. I know these aren't "all inclusive" options but they are more budget friendly.
  7. The Way of Boys by Dr. Anthony Rao and Michelle Seaton (Really helped me to understand my active DS!) Touchpoints by T. Berry Brazelton Nurture by Nature: Understanding Your Child's Personality Type by Barbara Barron-Tieger and E. Michael Ellovich
  8. Another option to consider is http://brightflashlearning.com. It is a "sister" company to Sonlight started by John Holtzmann and removes the religious content so that the curriculum can be used by public schools. It will be open to the general public in 2014.
