  1. I am wondering if you ended up using this and if so how did you like it.
  2. Any suggestions for a 10 year old for crafts next year? Besides wood carving. Just trying to think of something different.
  3. If you decide to do ECC message me because I will be selling mine soon. Lisa
  4. http://www.classical-homeschooling.org/celoop/1000.html This has a list of books according to grades. Also Ambleside Online has a booklist according to grade.
  5. We have enjoyed the Chronicles of Narnia from Focus on the Family Radio Theatre. Very dramatic! Very good.
  6. We have read and enjoyed Homer Price, Little House series, E.B. White books, an abridged version of Wind in the Willows. We also read Carry on Mr. Bowditch but that is a little bit older. Mary Poppins, The Moffats, The Saturdays, The Little Prince, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle. This website has 1000 books that are listed by grades. You can look there for suggestion. http://www.classical-homeschooling.org/celoop/1000.html
  7. I totally agree with all of these articles.
  8. I have the CE but will start next year. How did you all implement it into your studies? Also has anyone use the Teaching the Classics DVD series from the Center for Lit? I am interested in watching those and wanted a review.
  9. Thanks RootAnn. What would you recommend after WT 2 for 5th grade if WWS is for the older age if CW Homer was hard to implement. I don't think she is going to write any more WT is she?
  10. Thanks Aime, I was not sure of the grade level for WWS. I assumed it was 5th. I have research CW a lot as well as CC. I appreciate your input.
  11. Veritasmama, did you get the DVD with CC? My son will be going into 4th and has done no writing. I was thinking of using Writing Tales next year and move on to WWS or CW in 5th.
  12. I have read a lot of the old post, but would like to see what your new opinions are of these writing curriculum. Which would be easier for me to implement with a week writing background. I am very interested in Writing with Skill, Writing Tales, Classical Writing and Classical Composition. If you can all give me your opinions good and bad I would appreciated it.
  13. Yes Ellie you are correct. I had the wrong spelling program.
  14. We use Spell to Write and Read. It is cheaper that WRTR I believe. Just 2 books and phonogram cards and rules. I have a friend who uses WRTR and she spends an hour watching the video and taking notes. I don't have time to spend on that. That is her personal take on it but really likes the program. Wanda Sanseri wrote SWR and my daughter has done well this year.
