Hi,
I haven't been on the boards in a looong time, but thought someone here might have experience with this.
My ds, who will be 4 in August, seems to get stuck in his speech. He was slow to talk, but he is also the third child. He'll say something like, "I waaaaa.....nt some juice" or "How yooooooouuuu do that?" Sometimes he can't get the entire sentence out. He's like a stuck record. I feel like patting him on the back to keep him going.
We are very careful not to tease him, and sometimes he gets frustrated. One time he got really stuck, couldn't get the sentence out and then yelled very clearly, "I can't say those words!" It also seems to come and go, so I wonder if he will grow out of it or maybe he needs speech therapy.
Thanks for any ideas,
Kristine in VA
