  1.

But Furhman is a doctor not a body builder. He is promoting a weight loss program and is himself lean.

A healthy look is subjective anyway.

I agree 100 percent. I'd want to see inside their body, not what is on the outside. And Furhman is ot a body builder, as you said. I find "frail" a bit laughable, since ppl from Okinowa are known for their long lives but they do sport a rather "frail" look, that turns "sprightly" at about age 95 lol.

  2. Rude people, argumentative and semi abusive people I chalk up to various things. For one, things on the internet can be so easily misconstrued. I have sounder harsher than I mean and had it happen to me. No worries. Second, in real life your friends tend to be similiar in values and neighbors/co workers you have a vested interest in keeping the peace bc you have to see them so often. On the internet, you tend to argue with a bit more gusto. Again, no worries.

What scares me to death are the really abusive places like Reddit where people say things that are awful. Not rude, but truly awful. And news site comments are the worst, they truly make me question the overall goodness of the human race. I could cry at yahoo comments and don't even read them anymore they are so vile. These people I truly wonder about. They are among us, seemingly normal but their hearts are full of hate. They are people we know who seem decent but when "anonymous", they show their true colors. It isn't and aberration or harmless pranking. A decent person would never spew their breed of hate.

  3. I keep a rice cooker full of rice at most times. Some ppl don't consider rice healthy but Im Asian so everyone I know was raised on rice with only a tiny bit of meat. Huge bags of potatoes are cheap, they can be nuked in the microwave in a few minutes. You can make a pot of beans for pennies, add just a bit of ground beef and that can really stretch. Huge pots of potato soup, the crockpot makes this a snap. I am not claiming that this is the healthiest menu, but these are some cheap gf foods that can fill up a hungry stomach. I do know that "gluten free " breads, pastas and baking mixes cost a fortune and I would avoid such things. And prepackaged snacks and foods, which cost a lot but are also so tempting.

    Edited for typos....darn ipad!

  4. I agree that a card or letter acknowledging and thanking her for her years of dedication to and caretaking of her family would be priceless. If it were me, a weekend at a bed and breakfast would be the ultimate luxury. Perhaps you could pool money from the entire family? Perhaps, if she is devout, you could arrange a weekend at a nearby retreat (monastary or convent), there are some in most states. The cost is minimal, often donation only.

  5. Kirkland brand shampoo and conditioner, it is sulfate, paba and gluten free. Their fake Uggs are rumored to be true Uggs without the label. Their workout clothes are supposed to be lululemon dupes. I love their winter coats for kids. They have nice iron free men's dress pants and shirts. I love the kirkland brand of toilet paper ( i wont use any other brand). I always stock up on huge bags of almonds, moreys brand seasoned salmon, tilapia, fruits, veggies, organic classico pasta sauce, organic chicken, huge blocks of butter, and Greek yogurt. Be sure to check out the chocolate covered pom. seeds....so good for a treat.

  6. USAA is so user friendly. I'm sure if you called, they'd accept the check with a handwritten slip with your account number. Or there must be a deposit slip you can print from their website to mail in with your check.
