  1. You stole 283 cookies!

Rules of the game: if you find this (anyone except the cookie thief themselves) then post here to say "I caught the cookie thief! BUT... someone else took 284 cookies from the cookie jar!" That way we know this player has been caught and we'll look on another profile. Next, copy this entire post and paste it onto someone else's profile (player must have more than 100 posts and must have been active in the last month.) Lastly, change the numbers so each increase by one. It will be easier to track that way. Please post your findings in the thread entitled SOMEONE STOLE A COOKIE! Forum Game. Have Fun!

  2. .I do like it, I can feel my muscles stretching when I do it.
  3. Gee, I must be tired! It's actually "A Good Woman". Helen Hunt and Scarlett Johanssen are in it. It's not "Out of Africa" league, but pretty good if you like historical pieces. Have you seen "The Girl with the Pearl Earring" with Mr. Darcy (Colin Firth) - wow...
  4. "The Painted Veil" was amazing, so poignant. Agree that it is on par with "Out of Africa", one of my favs. Have you seen "An Inconvenient Woman"?
  5. Well, I've got volumes to back me up. Apparently you have nothing but "LOL, great argument"... typical. Maybe someone with something to say will chime in. Like GG, I respect the opinions of others *when they actually have one*.
  6. She hung out here because she genuinely liked and respected most of the people here, and enjoyed discussing and debating the myriad of topics that arise. The "we" was most definitely not all-inclusive. I think many of us would agree that there are a few holier-than-thous here who might think about rereading Matt. 7:3 and applying it once in awhile. If folks would look back over GG's old posts as I did, they would realize that she had a lot of interesting things to say, often spoke out about respecting the differing views of others, and was only ornery when cornered, like most of us are. :) She was invited to go elsewhere on more than one occasion (and you know who you are), and was constantly being anonymously criticized, and *this* is what aggravated her, NOT the board itself or the honest people on it. I think most folks would agree that the last altercation was provoked and nothing but downright nasty; can you say 'witch-hunt'? I wonder how it feels to have driven an "undesirable" off the boards. Not very christian in my book... or then again, maybe it is.
  7. Me, too. I can overlook style for the sake of substance, while apparently some can not.
  8. I use the Fluidity ballet bar because I want to look like my dd, the ballet dancer, with her long, beautiful muscles. :) One of the things the creator of the system believes is that you should always stretch a muscle after you work it. The stretches are very much like yoga poses, and are done immediately after working each muscle. Apparently, it is this stretching that gives ballet dancers their long, lean muscles rather than the short, bulky muscles you see in body builders.
  9. I am unfailingly polite and reasonable until someone pushes me just a bit too far... then, watch out! I have been known to go postal on people, but, know what? That's actually what it takes with some people; it's the only way they get the message. My fil and I have a lovely relationship now because he pushed me a bit too far one day and I had to straighten him out. :)
  10. This is nothing new. It goes on all the time in these countries where women are treated as property to be bartered. Young girls become pregnant and their bodies are literally torn apart while trying to birth the babies. This is why I support Women International; they give voice to women in these countries whose governments allow them to be abused.
