I'm planning on starting OPGTR with my 4 year old this summer. She doesn't write her letters yet, and I kind of want to do HWT alongside the lessons in OPGTR, but is there another program that adds a little more visual aspect to teaching reading? ETC is okay, but doesn't seem like it really goes along with the order of the lessons in OPGTR?

If we do ETC do we also need a Handwriting program, or is it pretty all-inclusive? I like HWT too, but do I need both?

These are all good suggestions! I was previously sold on the 4-year cycle, starting in 1st grade, but I think I'm slowly changing my mind to start the cycle in 2nd grade, so I might go ahead & do a intro. to geography in K and then the American History in 1...

Someone please explain to me what I need to buy for Singapore Math Kindergarten? The website says you can use Essential Math & Earlybird together. I get that. Then I go on Amazon & they have both a Textbook and an Activity Book for Earlybird. What is the difference and which are essential for just starting out??

Which do you think would be more important for my k'er to study before we start the 4-year history cycle: World Geography or American History? I was sold on this World Geography curriculum, then I discovered Elemental History's Adventures in America and now I'm torn! I want her to do both, but that would be too much!

My dd is 3.5 and I'm looking ahead to teaching her reading in a few months. We have OPGTR, but I want to supplement with something more visual... which is better, ETC or ASS? Especially with a limited budget...
