We are going to California from Ohio next month by Amtrak. We are all so very excited and are calling it Our Adventure! We did not get a room; we're bringing pillows and blankets and will sleep in our seats. :001_smile:

Mine is finishing up CLE math 4. He scored in the 97% for both computation and concepts. He took the CAT.

coconut ice cream
black olives
garlic naan
gyoza
frozen organic fruits and veggies
gourmet jelly beans
dark chocolate peanut butter cups
We always spend way too much money there because everything is so good! :)

I went to this conference in 1990. I loved it and I learned so much about our government that I hadn't learned in my mediocre high school. There were planned activities everyday, all day. Lots of mock congress, we "wrote and lobbied" for a bill, we met with our representatives, etc. We also did some sight seeing. From a kids perspective, it was fantastic!
As a parent, my only concern would be supervision. I was a very innocent, naive 16 year old so I am not sure if any boy-girl things went on. But I do remember walking into a boy's room in the boy's dorm with no problem. Looking back, we had plenty of time to do something had we wanted. KWIM?
HTH!!

I am a planner. I am a planner because I am a worrier. lol
I have DC ages 2-13. I have their entire schedule planned out, minus interest led electives and math for 11 and 12th grades. I have plan A and plan B, which would be outsourcing certain classes to CC.
I have put all this info in a binder, so that if I die my DH should not have too much trouble figuring out what he needs to get each year. I also have different plans for my typical kids and my special needs kids.
I should add that my plans are negotiable. After WWS came out, I changed our reading and writing plans for grades 5-8.
Now off to read other responses to see if I am the only one this pathetic.

Ok this reminds me of a state park where we used to live. Check the address, too.
We pass the sign for this state park when we visit my mom, but I had N.O. idea the street name. Too funny!!:lol:

I scored 81.82%. I must say I only passed because of homeschooling. Homeschooling littles, at that. I imagine I will learn more when the pipsqueaks start high school. :D

Will you teach me the mystery of history?
These are great!

I voted something else because we use 4 different programs. My sn 9ds uses McRuffy, my sn 13dd uses MUS, my 9ds uses (and future babes will use) CLE with CWP to supplement.

That's awesome. It's nice to hear the good stuff!

'Cause that's not why she's doing it.
Well, it's part of it, I'm sure, but her stated reasons have to do with the fact that to her, her body/skin is a gift she wants to give exclusively to her husband, and not share with others.
Good for her!
:iagree:
Too funny, I just had to share!!! (bOOks related)
