  1. throught the years I have used both tog and sl they are both excellent. as far as one being classical and one not..at this age they both could be classical...if you use the bible and history the language arts might not be, but you don't have to use sl language arts. :)
  2. Hello. First let me say I am not boasting! Does anyone else have first graders reading Little Bear @ the start of first grade? I think this is a little advanced. I am ok with it, it just took me off guard and we are having to finish K Phonics to be ready to start first grade Memoria. I LOVE their PHONICS!! It is really good. (This is my fifth child to teach to read, and I love it the most!)
  3. We just finished a year of HOD Rev. to Rev. It was excellent! My fourteen year old LOVED it. I love the idea of TOG and I have used it in the past...I love the books and I love that it is laid out for you. The reason I didn't use it this year was price. (I do not want to use the library) The books are a little more gentle than tog as you get older. I hope this helps. If you have any more questions PM me:grouphug:
  4. :grouphug:Ok, I just want to thank you...I now feel NORMAL...because...binders make me nuts...:grouphug: I am a page protector person too..but, it gets costly...:glare:
  5. Does anyone have any thoughts on online school? I do not want public school in my home. I want it to be Christian based. Thank You P.S. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease this summer and I am worried about how school will go this year.
  6. HOD has a sweet preschool program. My oldest daughter does it with our littles during the summer...and my 3yo did it at a coop and LOVED it...
  7. My daughter took Henle in 8th grade with little/no Latin background. We did the online class. I loved it. Her tutor was amazing and the class was well worth the $. I like Memoria because you can eventually go online, if you can't (or don't want to) teach it yourself.
  8. she has a placement chart on the sight. They are also very generous with samples online. I am sure you'll figure it out when you look. We have used RandS for eight years. I just switched this week to FLL and they LOVE it!
  9. Singular changed our lives. My little guy has asthma due to allergies. He started Singular and he is doing so well that he doesn't have to take his medicine for asthma anymore.
  10. I am looking for a Christian Homeschool Group in NJ. We will move there in May 2011. I will live on our near Ft. Dix, NJ. We are an Airforce family.
  11. We just found out we will move to NJ in May. I will live on our close to the Airforce Base and Ft. Dix. We will be looking for a Christian Coop and support group. If anyone knows of family-intergrated church that would be a bonus.
