I never heard anything back from the buyer after I said just paypal please. Thank you everyone for your good advice! Jessica

I emailed him back, stating that I would only accept pp. I have not heard back. :glare: It's not someone from this forum. I double posted my stuff for sale in a couple of places with the hopes of selling it quicker. I need the money for books for next year, but I guess I need to be more careful!

I just have a funny feeling about it. But, I've never done anything outside of paypal before. This could be totally legit; and it would save me the paypal fees.:D I just don't know why he would need my cell #?

I'm pretty new at selling things on the boards, so I'm not sure if I should be suspicious or not. I said I would accept paypal and this is part of the response-
Thanks for the prompt response and i will like to make an instant
purchase. I will be mailing(overnight) a certified cashiers check from
my bank account to cover the cost and shipment, while you hold the
item on my behalf. As soon as you confirm the check clearance, you
will then notify me in order to mail the books. Give me the following
informations to issue out the payment.
1.Name to be on the check
2.Home address
3.Cell phone #
Why would my cell # be needed? Is this common?
Please help!

Thank you so much, Mommaduck!!!!

I'm so glad to hear that! Are they not very involved- is that why your son needed extra help? Can you set your own schedule thru the year? Thank you for your help!:)

Has anyone here tried PA Cyber before? Anyone using it now? Have any of you tried their self-paced program before?
-
I live in PA and spend about $700 a month. My cost would go up about 14% if We moved to Seattle. Housing would be 30% more! OUCH!!!:001_huh:

We used Skoloff Valley Farms last year. (They are certified organic) Abbotts farm, for a winter CSA. Hails Family Farm, but I'm not sure if they do it any more.
-
We're doing Anthill Farm CSA this year for the first time. I haven't used any of the other ones before.
-
I live in NEPA also. Which CSAs are you thinking of joining? I've done them for a few years and am joining again this year.

I agree with the above comments. It seems like her reviews are typically positive, but I really want to hear the pros and cons. I end up having to purchase items and give them a try. If things don't work out, I sell it or give it away.
I,too, want pros and CONS. I like her reviews; they just need a more realistic twist on them for everyday use.

The checklist was very helpful! All of you advise going into Level 1 and I think that is the way I should go. THANK YOU!:001_smile:

We are doing WP Sea and Sky this year. There is a lot of history, IMHO. My son just turned 12, so he is working thru most of it pretty independently. I am constantly surprised about the conversations that we have based on the history part of the program. When he gets home later, I'll ask him how he thinks it compares to the amount of history he has down the past couple years.

Thank you, Nukeswife!!!!:001_smile:

My doctor told me that I can't do any cleansing, so I am just adding a large glass of juice to my diet 4 or 5 times a week. I bought the Omega Juicer 5. It is very quiet! I can run frozen fruit thru to make sorbet, also.

I'm not sure which to choose. My youngest knows all of his letters and their sounds. He only knows a couple of words- the, no, at, cat, etc. Should he start on Level 1 or Prelevel 1? I know a lot of you have used this program and might be able to help me. Thank you!

Swimskirts all the way!!!!! I am 35 and haven't worn a suit without a skirt for at least 9 years. They make me happy and relaxed at the beach. I don't have to worry about anything hanging out. And how do I say this delicately... no extra-curricular shaving, if you know what I mean?;)

I can't believe it- we're in our 7th year of homeschooling! I truly love it Except on the bad days, then I don't love it so much.;) Basically, homeschooling like, anything else worthwhile, is a lot of work. And VERY rewarding! I think it's good that you are a little nervous. It shows how much you care to do it right. Just remember why you are doing it and to have fun!:001_smile:
Beautiful Feet Guides and A Co-Op
in K-8 Curriculum Board
Posted
We used the BF Ancient History in our co-op a couple of years ago and it worked out pretty well. The one area that is a little rough to do in a group- there is a lot of reading. Which is great, but may become a little tedious in a group setting. I recommend having the children each having their own set of books and bringing some of the reading home each week to work on it independently. BF is a great company and curriculum. My son really enjoyed it even more when we did the next year at home on our own. Hope that helps!:)
