  1. Does anyone have any links for printable lesson planning and organizing sheets?:D
  2. well, it was nap time (and that did work). When I have tried moving one to my room they usually go over to the others room and end up together anyways.
  3. oh and a preggo friend offered to pee on a pregnancy test for me, but DH might stroke out with that one.
  4. I am planning on making a meat cake for supper. (meatloaf "frosted" with mashed potatoes)
  5. My girls are 4 1/2 and 3 years old. They recently gave up naps all together, but I still have them take quiet time in their room(they share). Currently it is 2 hours long. But I need some activities I can give them to do during that time to avoid fights. :D
  6. I am interested in reading all the replies as well. We are talking about replacing my old laptop for an ipad, but also using some apps for my dd w/autism. And surfing the web a bit while the girls play outside this summer.
  7. Now that I have a few more moments, here are some details about us. I have been doing a bunch of reading I love the classical concept, but don't think it fits my teaching personality at all. I need to get a copy of TWTM to read still (it's on the list) DD1 (will be 5 in June)has been receiving preschool services under the Autism heading for about a year now. She is socially shy and behind in areas of pretend play, interaction and using language age appropriatly (will scream if she's upset vs saying "stop it" "you took my toy", etc. and also has some idiosyncratic language going on). She is on track or ahead with things like knowing letters, sounds, memorizing a new book after 2 times reading it, counting. Given her personality a workbox style will probably work best for her since it would be a visual indicator of what we have to do in a day (more work for me, but that's not a new thing). I think Unit stiudies would be fun for her and she'd respond as she has several interests we could explore (outer space, racecars, dinosaurs, birds, flags (geography), maps). I would like to be able to stretch her reading options a bit. We have tried to start the Little House books, but she's only 1/2 into that.
  8. We are in MN if anyone has experience with that. We have her transition meeting coming up and I don't even know what is reasonable to ask for as far as speech and social skills support.
  9. I am hoping to still utilize services for speech for sure, not sure what else I could get written in there. Her transition meeting is coming up in a couple weeks. dd1 will be a kindergartener in the fall and her IEP is for Autism. She is high functioning and on track or ahead with basic skills (letters, sounds, knowing numbers, etc.)
  10. We are looking into homeschooling in the fall w/kindergarten. :D
